OEM reports to the Vice Chancellor, Administration

Knowing what to do, where to go, and the resources available in the event of a disaster is key to staying as safe as possible. Emergencies can happen quickly and unexpectedly so it's critically important to prepare in advance by reviewing the information on this OEM website.

Our Mission:

  • Administer a comprehensive campus emergency management and continuity program to respond to, recover from, and reduce the effects of risks associated with emergencies of all types and sizes
  • Foster partnerships both internally and externally to assist the UC Berkeley community in preparing for events that threaten the continuity of the campus mission
