What is the EOC?
The UC Berkeley Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is where the coordination of information and resources to manage and support an emergency occurs. It's where pre-identified and trained Berkeley staff come together to get our campus life back to normal as quickly as possible.
The EOC can activate for a variety of emergencies that may affect our campus, such as an earthquake, wildfire, or large-scale power outage. It can also activate for planned events that require an extra level of coordination and support, like the Big Game. Go Bears!
EOC Staff
The EOC is staffed by subject matter experts from across campus who have been pre-identified and trained to work in one of five functions: Management, Operations, Planning, Logistics, and Finance & Administration. If you think that you have the skills and expertise to help the campus in an emergency, please email us at oem@berkeley.edu and we may reach out if a position becomes available.
